Project Coordinator for International Study Programs and EU Funding (m/f/d)
- Reference: 34-2026 International Affairs -

for a fixed term of 2 years.

The incumbent will coordinate the establishment of an independent capacity for developing international joint/multiple-degree programs and for securing European funding at the University of Applied Sciences within the timeframe specified above.

The responsibilities include, in particular:

  • Establishing and consolidating an international consortium, as well as negotiating and finalizing letters of intent (LOI) or a cooperation agreement,
  • Developing an integrated multiple-degree program concept (competency profile, curriculum architecture, mobility pathway, joint procedures) to the point where it is ready for accreditation,
  • Developing and submitting an Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) application to the EACEA,
  • Developing and submitting an Erasmus+ KA220-HED partnership proposal,
  • Strategic pipeline and horizon scanning of related funding lines (e.g., CBHE, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions / Horizon Europe) with well-founded go/no-go recommendations, without any obligation to submit an application for every line,
  • Preparation of the future program’s eligibility for the Joint European Degree Label,
  • Management of the project according to defined milestones and deliverables: consortium framework with at least 2 Letters of Intent (LOI) or 1 cooperation agreement, a dossier ready for accreditation, a submitted EMDM application, a submitted KA220-HED application, and a pipeline report.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • A completed university degree,
  • Proven experience in developing and submitting project proposals under all of the following EU funding programs: Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships (KA220-HED), Erasmus Mundus, and Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE),
  • Proven success in the conception, development, and submission of cooperative research and higher education project proposals under the International Visegrad Fund (V4),
  • Proven experience in establishing and further developing international higher education partnerships and strategic academic networks,
  • Experience in establishing and coordinating international higher education consortia,
  • Experience in developing higher education study programs, including English-language degree programs and international teaching and learning environments,
  • Good English skills (at least B2 level) as the working language of the project.

In addition, the following are desirable:

  • Experience with higher education governance and quality assurance processes, ideally at universities of applied sciences,
  • Knowledge of the Czech and German languages,
  • Intercultural competence and an established international network in higher education are advantageous,
  • Experience with double-degree programs, Blended Intensive Programs (BIP), or other international educational initiatives,
  • experience in preparing grant proposals and building professional networks.

More Information

Salary will be paid up to Pay Grade 11 of the TV-L collective bargaining agreement, provided the candidate meets the personal qualifications. The primary place of work is Zittau.
