application

Applications can only be submitted online through our application portal. There, you can also check the status of your application (receipt, completeness, etc.). An exception to this rule applies to applicants for the “European Business” degree programme who hold a foreign university entrance qualification. These applicants must submit their applications through uni-assist.

Application Periods

Undergraduate (Bachelor and Diplom) courses at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences begin in the winter semester. Some Master's degree programmes start in the summer semester, and applications are accepted for higher academic semesters.

Winter semester

The application period begins on May 2 and ends on July 15 for degree programmes with restricted admission (numerus clausus) and on September 30 for degree programmes without admission restrictions.

For degree programmes with restricted admission ( numerus clausus), the July 15 deadline (for receipt of applications!) must be strictly observed.

For the European Business program, the application period ends on August 31.

Applications for higher academic semesters may be submitted no later than August 31.

Applicants who already hold a high school diploma (Abitur) or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification should submit their application by mid-June if possible. Confirmations of internships and vocational training certificates may be submitted later.

Summer semester

The application period begins on December 1 of the previous year and ends on January 15 for applications to higher academic semesters and on February 15 for Master's degree programmes offered in the summer semester.

Social Work

Since the 2017 winter semester, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has been participating in the nationwide admissions process administered by the Foundation for University Admissions (DoSV) for its Social Work degree programme. Applicants to the Social Work degree programme must therefore first register online via www.hochschulstart.de on the DoSV application portal and only then submit their application to our university.

You can find more detailed information on the application for the Social Work degree programme here.

Applicants with a German university entrance qualification

  • Other documentation, if required by the regulations for admission
