In all degree programmes, the course of study concludes with a final examination. This consists of a final dissertation (Bachelor thesis, Diplom thesis, or Master's thesis), which must be defended during an oral examination.

Admission to this final examination requires that all coursework and examination components have been successfully completed. Admission is granted by the Examination Office.

Our faculty members can help you find topics and industry partners for your final dissertation, or you can search for them on your own, for example, through the university’s online job board. Often, having already made personal contact at a career fair makes it easier to get started with your application.
