Tips for implementing online evaluation for teachers

For each class / course to be evaluated, the instructor receives an email containing the login details—in the form of a web link and a token—for the class / course-specific online questionnaire. A class / course-specific QR code sheet is also attached to the email. The instructor can make the login details available to the relevant students through the following alternative methods:

  • Providing the login details for the online questionnaire during the class / course (the login details or QR code are displayed on the wall or screen via a projector, and students are immediately asked to participate)
  • Sending an invitation email to students inviting them to participate in the survey (the email must include at least the login details or the QR code sheet, as well as the participation deadline)
  • Posting the login details or the QR code sheet in the OPAL course for the relevant class / course (including brief information for students regarding availability and the participation deadline)

Other methods of providing information are also possible. Please note the following:

  • Participation must be time-limited. As a faculty member, please specify a fixed end date for your students. One week is usually sufficient.
  • The questionnaire contains optional additional questions. Suggestions for additional questions can be found in the invitation email containing the login details. If you, as the instructor, wish to make use of this option, please also share your specific additional question with the students.

The faculties' evaluation officers are:

  • Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cezary Dzienis (F-EI)
  • Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Jana Stolz-Römmermann (F-MK)
