The focus is on topics such as voluntary work, regional building culture using the example of the Umgebindehaus and the sustainable development of rural areas. Students are given the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping their region and network with local stakeholders.

Stufu modules in this area deal with ecological, economic and social aspects of sustainable development. They impart knowledge on climate protection, resource conservation, renewable energies, the circular economy and sustainable urban development. Students learn in a practical way how they can develop and implement sustainable solutions in order to actively shape social and economic transformation processes.

Modules in the Studium Fundamentale with a focus on digitalization deal with the impact of digital technologies on society, business and science. They impart knowledge about digital skills, artificial intelligence, data protection, digital ethics and sustainable digitalization. Students learn to critically reflect on digital tools and use them responsibly in different contexts.

Modules in the Studium Fundamentale with a focus on languages support the international orientation of the university and promote intercultural competence. They offer students the opportunity to acquire or improve their foreign language skills in order to operate confidently in a global academic and professional environment. In addition to language courses, intercultural training and practice-oriented formats are also offered to facilitate exchange with international students and partner institutions.
