The Original – Degree and Vocational Training in One

KIA combines an engineering degree program with recognition for vocational training in a dual study model that integrates vocational training. You’ll earn two full-fledged degrees: a vocational degree with a professional examination (IHK or HWK) and a college degree (Bachelor’s or Diplom).

After a shortened training period of two and a half years, you’ll complete your vocational training. You’ll then earn your university degree after an additional two years (Bachelor’s) or two and a half years (Diplom).

Engineering studies and chamber-certified vocational training—conducted in parallel and coordinated with one another.

Co-op Program Without Vocational Training

_KIAdirekt is a practice-oriented study program that does not include vocational training. During breaks between semesters, during the work placement semester, and while working on your Bachelor’s or Diplom thesis, you’ll gain extensive practical experience at a company.

The program follows the regular academic curriculum but is supplemented by firmly integrated practical study phases.

No vocational certification—but early and ongoing practical experience instead.
