Internships at the University
If you are a student in 8th grade or higher, you can submit an application to the following faculties and departments for your mandatory high school internship at the university:
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science'
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management
In addition, interested students can also complete additional internships during school breaks. Throughout the entire internship period, you’ll be based in the university’s labs and workrooms, where you’ll be given exciting and hands-on tasks under professional guidance.
Your internship inquiry must be submitted in writing in the form of an application that includes a cover letter and a resume.
In the cover letter of your application, please write about:
- your interests and skills (e.g., “I’m interested in technology and always tinker with my moped on the weekends” or “I enjoy sewing my own clothes and am interested in the entire process from purchasing to marketing”),
- your motivation for why you specifically want to do an internship at HSZG,
- your favorite academic subjects in school,
- your preferred field of work, specifying the corresponding faculty. You can find an overview of our degree programmes here.
Once we receive your application, we’ll consult internally with the faculties to determine the options for internship supervision and will let you know as soon as possible whether the internship can be arranged.

- Submit your application well in advance—at least 2 months—before the start of the internship.
- Find out in advance about the faculties and divisions at our university where you would like to complete your internship.
