Internships at the university
As a pupil in year 8 or higher, you can apply for a compulsory school internship at the university in the following faculties and departments:
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science'
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management
Interested pupils can also complete additional internships during the vacations. You will be accommodated in the laboratories and workrooms of the university for the entire duration of the internship and will be given exciting and practical tasks under professional guidance.
Your internship request must be submitted in writing in the form of an application with a cover letter and a CV.
In the cover letter of your application, please write about:
- your interests and skills (e.g. "I am interested in technology and always work on my moped at the weekend" or "I like sewing my own clothes and am interested in the whole process from purchasing to marketing"),
- your motivation for doing an internship at the HSZG,
- your favorite subjects at school,
- your desired field of work with the corresponding faculty. You can find an overview of our degree programs here.
After receiving your application, we will clarify the possibilities of internship supervision internally with the faculties and inform you promptly about the possibility of implementation.

- Send your application in good time - i.e. at least 2 months - before the internship period.
- Find out in advance about the faculties and departments at our university where you would like to complete your internship.
