The Saxon Science Liaison Offices are scientific liaison offices of the Free State of Saxony in selected partner regions. They strengthen international cooperation among Saxon universities and establish direct connections to universities, research institutions, public institutions, and other local partners.
The offices support the development of long-term university partnerships, academic exchange, and the recruitment of international students and professionals for Saxony. They are coordinated by Saxon universities on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture, and Tourism.
The Saxon Science Liaison Office Cairo serves as the joint academic representative of five universities of applied sciences in the Free State of Saxony. The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is responsible for overall leadership and coordination.
Located at the DAAD regional office in Cairo, the SSLO Cairo serves as a direct interface between the Saxon and Egyptian higher education, research, and education sectors. It supports the establishment of sustainable partnerships, the development of joint degree programs, and academic mobility between Saxony and Egypt.
