The application for a study place is made exclusively online via the university's applicant portal.
Please note that foreign applicants can only be admitted if they have passed all individual requirements of their previous education, starting with the secondary school leaving certificate. This is regulated in the regulations for admission at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences dated 18.11.2024 in § 6, number (6), in the current version, for the admission of foreign applicants.
Foreign applicants must, among other things, submit a relevant language certificate if they have direct access to higher education - see under "Documents to be submitted" or, if they have indirect access to higher education, the certificate of the assessment test.
You can find out whether you have direct or indirect university admission on the anabin website.

The standard period of study for the specialization course to obtain the assessment test is two semesters.
The Studienkolleg does not offer beginner courses for the German language. Therefore, prior knowledge of the German language must be proven with the application as follows:

Non-EU citizens are required to submit a B1 certificate from the Goethe Institute or a B1 ÖSD certificate. B1 certificates from other language schools can only be accepted if they were obtained in Germany. Visa
International students require a visa and proof of sufficient financial means. The visa procedure can take several months, so we recommend that you apply for your visa in good time. You can usually make an appointment to apply for a visa before you receive your letter of admission. However, remember to bring the letter of admission with you to the appointment. Find out which documents you need for your visa application, how much financial proof you need and what financing options are available for your studies in Germany.
