Who can receive a committee semester?
- Students who are involved at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences can apply for up to three committee semesters.
What is the aim of the committee semesters?
- The aim of this provision is to protect students who are active in university committees from long-term tuition fees. The increase in the individual standard period of study fulfills precisely this purpose.
What is the procedure?
- Students who have served on university or student body committees for at least one electoral term in accordance with the SächsHSG (§ 21 Para. 4 Sächs.HSG) are not counted towards the standard period of study for one semester, or three semesters if they have been involved for several years. (Examination regulations § 3 para. 1)
- An informal application must be submitted to the Director of Studies and International Affairs, Dr. Koutková, together with a certificate from the committee.
