The "Study Success KOM³" project at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) aims to increase student success through the targeted promotion of study, digital and problem-solving skills. The focus is on innovative, interdisciplinary learning arrangements that prepare students from all disciplines for the demands of the digital transformation. The core objective is to reduce dropouts, promote equal opportunities and remove barriers to accessing educational opportunities.
The project aims to secure a sustainable supply of skilled workers in Saxony and support the regional economy by training digitally competent graduates.
The project focuses on the implementation of adaptive learning formats that flexibly adapt to individual learning needs and promote basic digital skills. The use of an AI-supported learning companion is intended to set the course for personalized learning support. The project integrates computational social science (CSS) approaches to strengthen data-based methodological competence and data literacy. By combining social science and data science perspectives, students are enabled to professionally evaluate digital data and make evidence-based decisions.
At the HSZG, the project is centrally affiliated with the Prorectorate for Education and Sustainability. The implementation of the sub-projects is coordinated by lead partners at the Faculty of Social Sciences(Prof. Steffi Heidig, Prof. K. Petzold) and at the Center for eLearning(Prof. M. Längrich).
