Job Application Portal

Applications for a Deutschlandstipendium must be submitted exclusively online. You can use the online application portal provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The portal is activated once per academic year, exclusively during the application period.

Your application must be uploaded to the application portal in its entirety, including all required attachments, within this time window. Only then will it be valid and processed accordingly. Unfortunately, incomplete applications cannot be considered.

The standard award period covers one academic year (September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027). The monthly grant amount is €300.

Applications that are not submitted by the deadline or in the required format will not be considered in the selection process. This means that written applications sent by mail are not admissible for the application process and will therefore not be processed. The application is based on the revised regulations governing the awarding of Deutschlandstipendien dated April 13, 2022.

Information for Your Online Application

  • First, you must create an account. You can then use your password to log in to the system at any time.
  • You must download the application agreement ( here or on the portal). Print it out, sign it, and later attach it to your application as a scanned copy.
  • You can save your application documents and continue later. However, you must submit your application within the application period for it to be valid.
  • Required fields marked with a blue asterisk (*) must be filled out.
  • The drop-down menu in the portal makes the process easier for you. You can easily switch between the different sections of the form.
  • You must upload your attachments in PDF format.
