Competence in energy and the environment: The IPM Institute
The Institute for Process Engineering, Process Automation, and Measurement Technology (IPM) conducts research in the fields of energy and the environment with an average of 30 researchers. Its core competencies include power plant, steam generator, and combustion technology, as well as the analysis, modeling, and simulation of dynamic processes. In addition, the institute focuses on modern technologies such as soft sensors, advanced control, and magnetic bearing technology.
The institute's R&D activities are carried out in four specialist areas, which are headed by university lecturers from the HSCG as part of their full-time research:
