Görlitz Kinder Academy
Welcome to the Kinder Academy Görlitz!
For 15 years now, the Görlitz Kinder Academy has been an integral part of the lives of children in the European city of Görlitz-Zgorzelec. Scientists from all over Germany answer children’s exciting questions about their research. The Görlitz Kinder Academy is a joint event organized by the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Senckenberg Museum of Natural History in Görlitz.
The lectures are aimed at children aged 8 to 12. Participation is free of charge and at the child's own risk. Parents are not allowed during the lecture. As in a real university, children receive a student card and a diploma at the end of the semester.
Simultaneous interpretation is provided for Polish children.
The 45-minute child-friendly lectures take place approximately once a month on Fridays at 4:00 p.m., alternating between the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Humboldt House of the Senckenberg Museum of Natural History. Participation is free of charge.
