PROMOS

The program is advertised annually within the university in late autumn for the coming calendar year.

Application deadline for students and university lecturers: 31.01.2026

The goal of the Promos program is to increase student mobility. The program is designed to make a significant contribution to this goal by providing scholarships for study abroad and enabling significantly greater mobility among students at German universities. The scholarships are awarded by Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences through a quality-oriented and merit-based selection process.

The following activities are currently eligible for funding under PROMOS:

• Study stays worldwide—outside Europe—(1 to 4 months)
• Internships worldwide—outside Europe—(1 to 5 months)

Students are responsible for organizing their own study or internship placements; PROMOS provides purely financial support.

In addition, 1–2 study trips may be funded if necessary. The application for this must be submitted by a university faculty member.
