FAQ
Students select a course from the “Interdisciplinary Competencies” (ZFL) module of the Studium Fundamentale. The course descriptions are organized by subject area.
Registration takes place online via the university’s registration portal: boogking.hszg.de, within the specified registration period—typically in June for the summer semester and in January for the winter semester.
After the registration deadline, participants are assigned to their courses based on the courses being offered and the available spots.
Important: Courses may be canceled. In this case, the affected students will be notified by email.
The events take place either in Zittau or Görlitz. Please find out which module is offered at which location.
We will inform you of the rooms and exact dates after enrollment.
Starting in the summer semester of 2026, registration will take place through the university’s of the university.
You can only register for one course at a time. If a course is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, we will notify you in a timely manner via email.
All courses have limited enrollment, so don’t wait until the last day.
When you receive the email confirming your course assignment, you will automatically be registered for the respective course’s exam at the start of the semester.
During the registration period, you can sign up for and drop different courses as often as you like via the registration portal.
Important: After the registration period ends, you can only change your course selection until the second week of the semester, upon written request.

June 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. to June 30, 2026, at 11:00 p.m.
