Brief Description

The “HSZG Teaching Exchange” is a cross-faculty / trans-faculty exchange forum for faculty members at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on current topics in higher education and media didactics.

The 45-minute online session focuses on brief presentations drawn from teaching practice and their joint discussion. Faculty members gain insights into proven approaches to higher education teaching and can contribute their own experiences, questions, and perspectives. The goal is to highlight practical ideas and promote the collegial exchange of good teaching practices.

This format builds on the previous “Digital Teaching Exchange” and broadens the focus to include current developments in university education and media pedagogy.

Objectives of the format

• Raising awareness of topics in higher education pedagogy
• Reflection on one’s own teaching practices through collegial exchange
• Presentation of tried-and-true practical examples from teaching

• Promoting the cross-faculty / trans-faculty exchange of experiences

Key Focus Areas

The sessions address current topics in academic study and teaching, such as:

• Practical examples from higher education
• Digital and hybrid teaching formats
• Methods and tools for teaching
• Electronic exams and assessments
• Promoting digital skills
• Challenges and Solutions in Digital Teaching

• Information on current developments and events

Agenda

The format follows a concise agenda:

1. Short presentation based on teaching experience (approx. 10–15 minutes)
2. Discussion and exchange with participants

3. Questions, experiences, and suggestions for one’s own teaching

• Faculty members at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences
• Staff members who support classes / courses
