It views the creation of a family-friendly university as an important tool for achieving equal opportunity. At both its Zittau and Görlitz campuses, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is committed to creating family-friendly study and work conditions and to striking a healthy balance between academic and professional life and personal life.

• Students and staff members in Zittau have the option of having their children cared for at the “Knirpshausen e.V.” childcare center, located right next to the university.
• For events with limited capacity, student parents are given priority.
• In both Zittau and Görlitz, high chairs are always available in the student canteen for eating with children. The student canteen staff will heat up any baby food you bring. For preschool-aged children, there is a children’s portion available for 1.00 euros!
• In addition, mobile workspaces and coworking spaces are available to all students and staff at the Zittau and Görlitz campuses in all buildings, as well as in the libraries. In Zittau, the Celciuz can also be booked.
