Learning for Tomorrow: University as a Space for Shaping a Sustainable Future

Teaching Day 2026 will focus on the question of how higher education can empower students to play an active role in shaping a sustainable future. Against the backdrop of societal transformation processes—climate change, digitalization, demographic change, and the use of artificial intelligence—universities see themselves not merely as places for imparting knowledge, but as spaces for fostering responsibility, reflection, and the capacity for action. The goal of the event is to highlight key perspectives on future-oriented higher education, stimulate discourse between academia, professional practice, and society, and provide impetus for the further development of teaching in line with the HEP 2030+.
