Campus Card for students

Our Campus Card for students is available in the "MyHSZG" Campus App!

The new function will be available in our campus app from 01.03.2025. This will allow you to use your student ID card digitally - initially for the Deutschlandticket, the ID card and the library card.

After just a few clicks, you will have the Campus Card ready to hand on your device and can conveniently use the first digital functions.

More features will follow in the future!

Functions at a glance

Visual identity card

The digital Campus Card serves as proof of your student status and can replace the physical ID card as a visual ID.

Library card

Thanks to the barcode, the digital Campus Card can be used as a library card and can be used to borrow various media.

Germany ticket

With the integrated function in the "MyHSZG" campus app, you can use the Deutschlandticket digitally and make flexible and uncomplicated use of local and regional public transport throughout Germany.

Please note!

You can still only use the locking and payment functions and the printing service with your physical ID card. We are working on integrating these functions into the digital Campus Card.

How to access the digital Campus Card in the "MyHSZG" Campus App

Step 1

You can access your digital Campus Card via the shortcuts (at the top of the image) or via the "My studies" tab (at the bottom of the image).

Step 2

If you have used the "My studies" tab, you must next click on the "Campus Card" module.

Step 3

Your digital Campus Card is now ready for you.

Please note with the Germany ticket!

The Deutschlandticket can still be found in the NETINERA app until 28.02.2025. The Deutschland-Semesterticket in the "MyHSZG" app is only valid from 01.03.2025. Install the "MyHSZG" app on your device in good time and check on 01.03. before you get on the train/bus whether the ticket is loaded and visible. This will ensure that the changeover goes smoothly.

log in to the app with your university login
Select the "Campus Card" in the "My studies" tab
Accept and confirm the terms of use
Load the ticket under the digital ID card

What can I do if the digital Campus Card is not displayed or does not work?

For technical problems with the "MyHSZG" app, you can use the support chat directly in the app.

What can I do if no passport photo is displayed on my digital Campus Card?

If no passport photo is displayed on your digital Campus Card, please log in to e-Campus with your login details and upload your passport photo there.
Can I use the digital Campus Card on several devices?

The digital Campus Card can be used on up to 3 devices.
How can I submit feedback or suggestions for improvements to the digital Campus Card?

We look forward to your feedback and suggestions for improvement! Simply send your suggestions by e-mail tocampusapp@hszg.de. Our team will check your message and get back to you as soon as possible.
Can I also use the digital Campus Card offline?

Yes, the digital Campus Card can be used offline for up to 5 days. After that, an internet connection is required to check the validity and update the Campus Card.
Is the digital Campus Card mandatory or can I continue to use the physical student ID?

No, the digital Campus Card is not mandatory and the physical student ID card can still be used. Please note, however, that the Deutschlandticket is only available in the campus app via the digital Campus Card.
Can I use the digital Campus Card to pay in the canteen?

No, not yet - but this function will be available in the future! We are working on integrating the payment option in the canteen with the digital Campus Card. Currently, payment is only possible with the physical student ID card.
Can I use the digital Campus Card for local public transport (Deutschlandticket)?

Yes, if you have paid for the Deutschlandticket via the semester fee, you can use it via the digital Campus Card in the Campus app.
Can I use the digital Campus Card as a library card?

Yes, the digital Campus Card can be used as a library card. It enables access to library services such as borrowing books and using other services.
Does the digital Campus Card also work for door access to buildings or laboratories?

No, not yet - but we are working on making this function available in the future. Currently, access is only possible with a physical student ID.
Can I use the digital Campus Card for discounts?

Yes, the digital Campus Card can be used as a visual ID and replaces the physical student ID in this function. You can use it to take advantage of discounts where a student ID is required as proof.
