Evaluation & Monitoring of studies/teaching

Data collection and analysis by means of evaluations

A variety of quantitative and qualitative surveys are at the heart of determining and analyzing the quality of studies and teaching.

With the enactment of the evaluation regulations created the legal basis for standardized university-wide evaluations of teaching and learning with the following characteristics:

  • Course evaluation
  • module evaluation
  • degree program evaluation

Evaluation through a survey

In this context, students are regularly asked for their feedback as part of:

  • Surveys on lectures, seminars/exercises, laboratory work/field placements
  • Module and final module surveys
  • Surveys at the beginning and end of studies

With their anonymous participation in the surveys, students have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the qualitative development of teaching and degree programs.

Furthermore, the satisfaction of teaching staff is determined at regular intervals and with changing topics, e.g. in 2024 on the topic of psychosocial stress in the workplace.

In recent years, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has also participated in various surveys conducted by external contractors and cooperation partners, for example

  • Saxon student surveys and Saxon graduate studies (2008/09, 2013/14, 2018/19, 2022/23)
  • Nationwide graduate panel (2018)
  • EUROGRADUATE pilot survey (2018)
