Data collection and analysis by means of evaluations

Quantitative and qualitative analyses form the core of the assessment of the quality of academic programs and teaching.

The Evaluation Regulations provide the legal basis for university-wide, standardized evaluations of degree programmes and teaching, which take the following forms:

Course evaluations
Module evaluations
Degree program evaluations

Evaluation through a survey

In this context, students are regularly asked to provide feedback through:

surveys on lectures, seminars/practicals, lab work/fieldwork
Module or final module surveys
Surveys at the beginning and end of their studies

By participating anonymously in these surveys, students have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the further development of teaching and the degree programs. From time to time, selected target groups are surveyed, such as participants in preparatory courses before the start of their studies, or international students regarding their study location and integration programs.

Furthermore, the satisfaction of teaching staff is assessed at regular intervals on varying topics; for example, in 2024, the topic will be psychosocial stress in the workplace.
