The curriculum for the Bachelor’s in European Business helps you gain international experience right from the start, both in theory and in practice. Here, we outline your journey toward launching a global career.
From Zittau to the World in 4 Semesters
You’ll start your first semester in Zittau and Liberec (Czech Republic). Both cities are just a quick, direct 30-minute train ride away. In the third semester, you’ll study at a renowned partner university in Europe—whether in Spain, Latvia, Greece, Poland, Austria, or another country of your choice. Here, you’ll help shape the in-depth course content and language skills you’ll acquire.
The fourth semester in Zittau includes an additional one-week stay at another partner university. A special highlight is the Business Simulation Game, which gives you practical insight into complex business decisions.
Internship and Academic Work
The mandatory internship in the 5th semester gives you the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge directly in a professional setting—even abroad, if you wish. You’ll complete your degree in the 6th semester with a Bachelor’s thesis, which can also be written in collaboration with a company. This fosters practical and solution-oriented thinking and helps you build good business contacts.
The curriculum combines a solid foundation in Business Administration with international and interdisciplinary aspects. You’ll take courses such as International Business Negotiation, Sustainable Project Management, and Global Marketing. In addition, there are language courses in Business English and, optionally, Spanish, German (for international students), or Czech.

What NC do I need to study European Business?
You do not need to meet a minimum grade requirement (Numerus Clausus, or NC) to enroll in the European Business program.
There is neither a complex admissions process nor a waiting period. The Bachelor of Arts – Double Degree – is a particularly attractive study program that offers you the opportunity to earn two bachelor’s degrees within six semesters by attending two partner universities in different countries. What language skills are required?
Since the program is taught entirely in English, you need to have English proficiency at least at the B2 level. You meet this requirement if you earned at least 10 points or a “good” grade (equivalent to a GPA of B-) in English class in high school.
