In old age: digitally involved or left behind offline?

Dr. Cordula Endter discusses this topic at an event organized by the Korber Foundation.

Begin 21. March 2022 - 19:00 Uhr
End 21. March 2022 - 21:00 Uhr

How we understand and want to live old age and ageing depends to a large extent on the image of old age that prevails in a society. Digitalization is one of the dominant developments of the present day. New technologies promise to make life easier in old age and even compensate for age-related limitations. What image of old age is behind this and how does this in turn affect older people? Can today's age generations be divided into tech-savvy baby boomers and disconnected offline people? And how do older people see themselves and their demands on digital technologies?

Cultural anthropologist Cordula Endter, influencer Greta Silver and technology entrepreneur Diana Heinrichs will discuss the image of age with which technology is being developed, how digital tools are changing the image of age and how older people can be more involved in the development of technical solutions.
