The position includes the representation of the above-mentioned field of appointment in teaching and research, in particular with the following focal points:

• Engineering mathematics,
• Numerical methods.

The teaching duties are to be carried out in lectures, seminars, exercises, practicals and projects or in continuing education. The teaching units are to be secured university-wide. If necessary, classes / courses related to the area of appointment are to be taken on.

Appointment requirements

• A completed academic university degree in mathematics or related fields,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training,
• special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate,
• knowledge in the use of software to solve mathematical engineering problems,
• special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods, demonstrated e.g. in research achievements beyond the doctorate and in a professional practice of generally five years, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector.
