to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2029.

The project aims to inspire, inform and encourage children and young people to try out STEM subjects for themselves through needs-based and attractive formats and offers. Our work focuses in particular on the transition from school education to a career. The offers are geared towards scientific groups at the HSZG and thus build bridges to the technology fields of the future. The focus is not only on the breadth of the offer, but also on the depth of the offer.

New science-oriented formats, such as the Junior Academy in Zittau, the Experimental House in Görlitz and mobile learning locations at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, are intended to raise the spectrum of the diverse STEM stakeholder landscape to a new level and, against the backdrop of major structural change projects, create a basis for the development of the region as a science location with target group-oriented, science-oriented STEM offerings. To this end, a network of all STEM stakeholders in Eastern Saxony is to be established on a sustainable basis, which will increase the effectiveness of the individual formats and offers through better quality, higher awareness and low-threshold access for the broadest possible groups.

The post holder is responsible for communication, outreach and network coordination of the ZukLOS learning locations.

The tasks include in particular

  • Planning and implementation of outreach and communication measures,

  • Development of a standardized access and booking system for educational offers,

  • Maintenance and further development of the joint umbrella brand MINOS,

  • Integrating the learning locations into regional networks and cooperations,

  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with schools, local authorities, companies and educational institutions,

  • Supporting the supervision of events and educational offers,
  • Participation in evaluation and quality development,
  • Organization and communication of cluster and network events.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • University degree in the field of communication sciences, science communication or comparable,

  • Experience in public relations, project communication or network management,

  • Ability to communicate scientific content in a manner appropriate to the target audience,

  • experience with event organization and communication formats

  • high communicative competence and organizational skills,

  • Interest in STEM topics and educational projects.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Knowledge of the English, Polish and/or Czech language

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 11 TV-L. The first place of work is Zittau.
