At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), Rector's Office for University Development and Communication, a full-time position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as

Employee for Quality Management Studies/Teaching (m/f/d)

to be filled for a limited period until 30.06.2028.

The position serves to support the current change process within the university - in particular in the context of university development, faculty mergers and administrative modernization - from the point of view of quality assurance and development. The university has an accredited quality management system (QM system) for studies/teaching, which not only needs to be implemented, but also further developed.

The job holder (m/f/d) will be responsible for the following tasks in particular, focusing on structural and organizational adjustments:

  • Accompanying and supporting the University Development/Communication staff unit and the Education staff unit in the development and introduction of the new degree programs as part of the ongoing change process, in particular:
    • Ensuring compliance with qualitative, formal and procedural standards during the introduction of the new degree programs,
    • Advising and supporting the faculties in the creation and preparation of relevant study and committee documents for the degree programs,
    • Coordinating and supporting the faculties with quality-relevant documentation and implementation requirements,
    • Tracking and documenting quality-relevant process steps in coordination with the faculties,
    • Self-organized documentation and preparation of results, process statuses and coordination requirements,
    • Participation and involvement in coordination meetings at central and decentralized level.
  • Adaptation of the internal accreditation/certification procedure for the degree programs, in particular:
    • Conception of the accreditation of the new study model "partial study program",
    • Adaptation of the relevant specification documents, scheduling, etc,
    • Consultation/exchange with the university's stakeholders and committees (faculties, central institutions, etc.)
  • Adaptation of internal evaluation procedures in teaching and learning, in particular
    • Identification and implementation of the need to adapt the evaluation software database,
    • Design and implementation of an online portal for officials and teaching staff of the faculties in the new structure,
  • Adaptation of the QM system for studies and teaching, in particular
    • Updating the QM concept with a focus on restructuring and a process-oriented university,
    • Examination and adaptation of the relevant specification documents, e.g. regulations, process descriptions including the coordination of translations into English,
    • Participation in a concept for the migration of data from the central document management system (currently Typo3)
      to a document management system.


The following knowledge and skills are required

 

  • Completed university degree with reference to the above-mentioned area of responsibility,
  • several years of professional experience in the field of education (studies/teaching) in a university context,
  • strong knowledge and experience in project work,
  • strong teamwork and cooperation skills as well as service orientation and flexibility,
  • conceptual, analytical and communication skills,
  • very good written and oral communication skills in German and English,
  • proficient in the use of MS Office programs.

 

The following are also desirable

  • Experience and knowledge of administrative structures and processes and relevant legal foundations of university operations in studies and teaching, preferably in the Free State of Saxony,
  • Knowledge and experience in quality assurance and development, especially with regard to evaluation and accreditation,
  • Experience in advising on curriculum development and degree program structures,
  • Knowledge and experience in process management and
  • user knowledge of software solutions such as Zensus, QuestorPro and Typo3.
