Theme day: "Rethinking housing in old age - communal, self-determined, sustainable"

How do we want to live in old age - and what does it take for good living ideas to become reality?

Begin 26. June 2026 - 09:30 Uhr
End 26. June 2026 - 14:00 Uhr

Together with the Görlitz family office and the Görlitz district senior citizens' association, the GAT Institute and Saxony5 are organizing an event on the topic of living in old age. The event will highlight the latest findings on factors that encourage people to move and show what is particularly important when living in old age - from independence and community to security and affordability. Various housing concepts, financing options for communal living and existing and planned housing offers are presented.

An experience report from a shared housing project provides personal insights and also addresses possible challenges and reasons why such projects can fail.

In addition, concrete development perspectives for living space will be presented and committed people will be brought together to collect ideas, make contacts and initiate new communal living projects.

Informing, exchanging, networking - for sustainable forms of living in old age.
