Course of study
Your six-semester program is structured systematically and guides you step by step from foundational knowledge in Business Administration and medicine to specific areas of application in Health Management. In the first two semesters, you’ll acquire foundational knowledge in areas such as business administration, economics, bookkeeping, and accounting. At the same time, you’ll familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of medicine and learn medical terminology as well as scientific research methods.
Starting in the third semester, you’ll deepen your knowledge in specific areas of Health Management, such as hospital management, marketing, and social law. In the areas of nursing and home care, you’ll gain insights into the realities of health care delivery and learn about the unique characteristics of different sectors of the health care system. In the fourth and fifth semesters, you’ll expand your knowledge through compulsory elective modules and delve deeply into topics such as outpatient care, Controlling, and innovations in the healthcare sector.
The degree program culminates in the sixth semester with a 12-week internship at a healthcare facility, which gives you the opportunity to apply the knowledge you’ve acquired and gain valuable professional experience. At the same time, you’ll write your Bachelor’s thesis on a topic of your choice in the field of Health Management, thereby laying the foundation for a successful start to your career.

Hospital and nursing home management
You will take on management tasks in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics or nursing homes. You will analyze processes, optimize workflows and develop economic strategies. With your understanding of medical and economic interrelationships, you will contribute to the efficient use of resources and at the same time ensure the quality of patient care.
Medical Billing and Accounting
You will be responsible for documenting and billing medical services. You will analyze key performance indicators, prepare information to support decision-making, and identify opportunities for improvement. With your expertise in billing systems and medical processes, you will ensure a sound financial foundation for the healthcare facility.
Quality management
You will develop and implement quality management systems in hospitals and nursing homes. You will conduct audits, analyze processes, and develop improvement measures. With your systematic approach to processes and standards, you will contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
You will manage and optimize the Business Administration processes of anoutpatient care service. You will develop staffing schedules, coordinate personnel resources, and be responsible for ensuring the quality of care services. Using your knowledge of Health Management, you will efficiently design organizational structures, implement tools from the field of Business Administration, and develop strategies for providing patient care in the home environment while taking into account the legal and economic framework.
Product Management in the Healthcare Industry
You are responsible for the development and marketing of products and services at medical technology or pharmaceutical companies. You analyze market potential, develop marketing strategies, and maintain contact with customers and users.
