A particular highlight of the course is the computer-based simulation game, in which you take on the role of the management of a nursing home and learn to make decisions and analyze their effects - in a practical and realistic way. Through regular lecture series with renowned experts from various institutions, you will also experience the direct transfer between science and practice.

Course of study

Your six-semester course is systematically structured and leads you step by step from basic business and medical knowledge to specific fields of application in healthcare management. In the first two semesters, you will acquire basic knowledge in areas such as business administration, economics, bookkeeping and accounting. At the same time, you will familiarize yourself with the basics of medicine and learn medical terminology and scientific working methods.

From the third semester onwards, you will deepen your knowledge in specific areas of healthcare management such as hospital management, marketing and social law. In the areas of nursing and homecare, you will gain an insight into the reality of healthcare and learn about the special features of different sectors of the healthcare system. In the fourth and fifth semesters, you will expand your knowledge through elective modules and deal intensively with topics such as outpatient care, Controlling and innovations in the healthcare sector.

The crowning degree comes in the sixth semester with a 12-week internship in a healthcare facility, which gives you the opportunity to apply your acquired knowledge and gain valuable professional experience. At the same time, you will write your Bachelor's thesis on a topic of your choice in the field of healthcare management, laying the foundations for your successful career start.

You are responsible for the documentation and billing of medical services. You analyze key figures, prepare the basis for decision-making and identify optimization potential. Quality management
You develop and implement quality management systems in clinics and nursing homes. You carry out audits, analyze processes and develop improvement measures. With your systematic eye for processes and standards, you will contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety.

Outpatient care management

Outpatient care
You manage and optimize the business processes of an outpatient care service. You will develop deployment plans, coordinate personnel resources and be responsible for the quality assurance of care services. With your knowledge of healthcare management, you will design efficient organizational structures, use business management tools and develop strategies for patient care in the home environment, taking into account the legal and economic framework conditions.

Product management in the healthcare industry
You are responsible for the development and marketing of products and services at medical technology or pharmaceutical companies. You will analyze market potential, develop marketing strategies and maintain contact with customers and users.
