"Parliamentary Evening" and Transfer Workshop with Consulting Teams

Presentation of the Results of the project "Evaluation der Mobilen Beratung" by Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V.

As part of the research project “Evaluation der Mobilen Beratung” by Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V. (KBS), the TRAWOS research team presented the key findings of the study at two knowledge-transfer events and discussed them with representatives from politics and professional practice.

The evaluation focused on two central research questions: What impacts can the Mobile Counselling approach achieve in the field of democracy promotion at the regional level? And which professional logics of action, requirements, and dilemmas shape the work of counsellors in this particular field of practice?

During a digital Parliamentary Evening for members of the German Federal Parliament and the Saxon State Parliament, organized by Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V., Prof. Dr. Nadine Jukschat and Jan Schaller presented insights into the evaluation findings on 20 May 2026. Together with the KBS team and participating politicians, they discussed the significance of the results for the further development of democratic support structures in Saxony.

On 18 June 2026, the findings were explored in greater depth during a retreat meeting of the Mobile Counselling Teams (MBT) in Wurzen. The knowledge transfer workshop was aimed at the counselling teams and provided an opportunity to jointly reflect on the findings and discuss their implications for future practice. Particular attention was paid to the professional requirements of counselling work, questions of role clarification, and the management of tensions and dilemmas that are characteristic of this field of practice.

Through these two events, the research project made an important contribution to knowledge transfer between academia, professional practice, and policymakers. The evaluation findings provide valuable insights into the effectiveness and professionalization of mobile counselling services in the context of democracy promotion and social cohesion.

The research report has been published in both a full and a summary version and is freely available here.
