MK-FSR election 2026: These students are running for office

10 students are running for 7 places on the F-MK Faculty Student Committee.

Student Council Election 2026 at the Faculty of Managerial and Cultural Studies

From June 1 to 5, the students of the Faculty of Managerial and Cultural Studies will be electing their new Faculty Student Committee. A total of 10 students are running for 7 places on the FSR.
The Faculty Student Committee represents the interests of students vis-à-vis the university and faculty, organizes events, supports first-semester students in starting their studies and actively shapes student life. The work of the FSR thrives on commitment, new ideas and exchange within the faculty.
So that you know who is behind the candidacies, the 10 candidates introduce themselves here.

Leni Konetzke

Health care management course, 4th semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I decided to run for the Faculty Student Committee because I want to play a more active and varied role in shaping student life alongside everyday university life.
It is important to me that students feel comfortable at our faculty and that there is a good community outside of lectures.
That's why I want to contribute new ideas, plan joint activities and organize events that strengthen exchange and cohesion among students.

Thomas Heine

Culture and management course, 4th semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I want to enable students to have a positive and eventful time at university that they will remember fondly. I would like to contribute new ideas and play an active role in shaping student life.

Previous experience

I have not yet gained any experience in committee work at the HSZG.

Fun Fact

I am very good at keeping a "beginner's mind". This allows me to adapt quickly to new situations, people and dynamics.

Erika Steinert

Health care management course, 2nd semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I would like to get to know the work of the Faculty Student Committee better and gain practical experience in student participation. I am particularly interested in working on projects such as the Freshers' Weeks and organizing other events for students.

Previous experience

I have not yet gained any experience in committee work, but I am looking forward to learning new things and getting involved.

Fun Fact

I have a great enthusiasm for dachshunds.

Maike Gärtner

Culture and management course, 2nd semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I want to promote a family atmosphere within our student council and give students the opportunity to get in touch with each other more easily. I also want to organize cool events for our faculty.

I own around 400 books.

Maja Kaphegyi

Health care management course, 2nd semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

It is important to me to work closely with the students and to incorporate their wishes and concerns into the organization of the university. I would also like to advocate for preventative measures to make the university more health-promoting and to strengthen the exchange between students and the university.

Previous experience

Four years of experience as a class representative.

Weronika Ulbricht

International Business Communication course, 2nd semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I would like to represent the International Business Communication degree program more strongly and support students who sometimes still need to find their way in everyday university life. I also enjoy discussing with lecturers and getting actively involved.

Previous experience

I am a site manager at Studienkreis Görlitz.

Fun Fact

I'm a huge nerd and visit the Elbenwald Festival in Cottbus every year.

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I would like to actively help shape studies for other students and make a meaningful contribution to our faculty. Teamwork, organizing events and exchanging ideas with other students are particularly important to me.

I am running for the Faculty Student Committee because I want to make student life outside of classes / courses more attractive. I would like to contribute new ideas and organize various events to strengthen cohesion within the faculty.

I really enjoy getting things done, helping to organize events and contributing new ideas. That's why I would like to get involved in the FSR and play an active role in shaping student life. It is important to me that we have a cool time studying together and that all students feel well represented.

International Business Communication course, 4th semester

Motivation & goals for the FSR

I have been involved in university politics since my second semester and would like to continue to make the students' voice heard. I particularly enjoy organizing joint projects and events.

Previous experience

Experience in various university committees such as the Faculty Student Committee, Student Council and Faculty Council.

From June 1 to 5, all students of the Faculty of Managerial and Cultural Studies have the opportunity to cast their vote to determine the composition of the new Faculty Student Committee. Voting strengthens student co-determination, supports committed fellow students and helps to ensure that student perspectives continue to be visibly represented in the Faculty.
