GAT Institute participates in the guide "Living without barriers - measures for adapting living space" of the district of Görlitz
The new brochure "Living without barriers: Measures for adapting living space in the district of Görlitz " by Elvira Mirle, the officer for the interests of people with disabilities in the district of Görlitz, was produced with the cooperation of the GAT Institute and the AAL Laboratory.
The guide addresses the issue of increasing mobility restrictions due to ageing and the resulting need to adapt living space to enable people to live independently in their own homes. The 52-page brochure presents detailed options for removing barriers in the home. It not only provides suggestions and knowledge, but also advertises the services of the GAT Institute. As part of the cooperation with Ms. Mirle, content on the topics of "Adapting living space for dementia" and "Financing measures for adapting living space" as well as "Useful aids, age and technology" was jointly developed. In this division, the AAL Lab and the VATI project are presented on page 23.
The free brochure is primarily intended as support for service providers and companies. It is available online and in print from the Görlitz District Office and the district's town and municipal administrations.
