The activities of the position holder include the following tasks in particular:

• Investigation of the influence of tire abrasion on selected parameters in freshwater plants,
• Designing and conducting plant experiments in simulated aquatic ecosystems,
• Cultivation and care of aquatic plants,
• Supervision of student assistants,
• Collaboration in workshops and educational programs for various target groups,
• Preparation and communication of project results in the form of reports and presentations,
• Supervision of students in student project/thesis work and
• active participation in various educational tasks of the institute and the university.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed university degree in the field of ecology and environmental protection, biotechnology or a comparable field of study,
• Proven expertise in plant physiology, vegetation science and analytical methods,
• knowledge of project management.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Good written and spoken English language skills are advantageous,
• organizational skills,
• practical laboratory experience.
