The Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management once again took part in the INSIDERTREFF on June 2, 2018. At the largest training fair in Upper Lusatia, prospective students were able to take part in the STEM trail stations and learn more about the main areas of study and research.

In addition to the student advisory service, the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management presented itself with two STEM stations. Interesting questions from the Business Quest about the three degree programs Business Administration, industrial engineering and Housing and Real Estate Management enabled visitors to refresh their knowledge and gain an insight into the subject matter of the degree courses.

At the renewable energy construction kit station, our guests experimented with wind turbines. They learned about the differences between horizontal wind turbines, which are suitable for large-scale installations, and small vertical wind turbines, which are better suited to residential buildings.

Visitors also had the opportunity to find out about CAD design and 3D visualization using the CAD program ArchiCAD. The virtual Umgebindehaus, which is currently being researched at the faculty, was met with great interest.

The 3D printer attracted not only the students, but also other guests at the fair and provided a starting point for discussions about studying.
