Dr. Cordula Endter, deputy professor of Social Gerontology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and member of the GAT Institute, has received the prestigious Cäcilia Schwarz Award for Innovation in Elderly Care from the German Association.
The prize honors her dissertation "Assisted Aging. The development of digital technologies for and with older people", in which Dr Endter shows how digitalization can contribute to a good life in old age.
According to Dr. Endter, raising awareness of the needs of older people and their living environment among those responsible for development is essential for the age-appropriate design of digital technologies. Dr. Endter is also working on this in her research at the GAT.
The dissertation has been published in the Springer VS Verlag series on ageing and society(https://www.springer.com/de/book/9783658346553) and can be found in the library.
The GAT warmly congratulates Dr. Cordula Endter on this award!
