Every year, Stiftung Buchkunst selects the most beautiful and innovative German books. In 2019, 682 entries competed for the coveted awards.

Two expert juries selected the 25 most beautiful books of the year in an elaborate process. The selected books are exemplary in terms of design, concept and workmanship and demonstrate a wide range of creative and manufacturing possibilities.
These books set standards and show important trends and currents in German book production.Five books were awarded in each of the five categories "General literature", "Academic books/specialist books/school and textbooks", "Guidebooks, non-fiction books", "Art books, photo books, exhibition catalogs" and "Children's books, books for young people" .

We are delighted to be able to present these award winners to you in our exhibition.
