Substitute for the professorship (W2) Ecotrophology and Didactics WTH/S - Reference: 25-2026 LA-Ökotrophologie/V - (m/f/d) -

The position includes the representation of the above-mentioned professorship in teaching and research, in particular with the following focal points:

• Scientific teaching in ecotrophology (including the basics of nutritional and household sciences, ecotrophology laboratory/teaching kitchen, consumer education) in the subject area WTH/S,
• Inclusive subject didactics WTH/S including planning, analysis and reflection of lessons,
• Teaching and learning research in the subject group WTH/S including scientific work, project workshop and career orientation.

The person holding the position (m/f/d) is expected to take on other subject-related modules in the degree program in addition to classes / courses on the above-mentioned focal points. The teaching duties include lectures, seminars, exercises and the supervision of practical school studies and projects.

In addition, the candidate is expected to participate in the conceptual development and establishment of the new cooperative degree program and corresponding networking with lower secondary schools in the context of the WTH/S subject network at upper secondary, inclusive and special schools.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• a successfully completed university degree in ecotrophology, home economics and nutritional sciences or in the teaching profession WTH/S or in a relevant subject-related degree program related to nutrition, home economics and consumer education,
• a special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate, preferably in the field of didactics of WTH/S, ecotrophology, nutritional or household sciences or related disciplines with a school-related focus,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training in the university sector as well as corresponding teaching experience, experience in university teaching for student teachers and in the main subject area,
• demonstrable relation of the professional career to the content and tasks of the professorship, at least 3 years of (school) practical experience is useful if the professorship is to be made permanent and can be acquired pro rata during the period of the replacement,
• Familiarity with the curricula and educational standards for the subject combination of economics, technology, home economics and social studies (WTH/S) at secondary level,
• Experience in applied research and knowledge transfer,
• Ability to conduct classes / courses in German and willingness to teach in English if required.

• assumption of academic self-administration tasks,
• Willingness to teach at both locations of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
