Head Network Coordinator "Saxon Research Network Quantum Technologies (SAX-QT)" (m/f/d)

to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2027.

The "Saxon Research Network Quantum Technologies (SAX-QT)" pools Saxon expertise in quantum computing, quantum sensor technology and quantum materials in order to transfer research results to industry and society more quickly. Through joint workshops, training courses and cooperative R&D projects, the network strengthens the transfer of knowledge, increases the third-party funding capacity of its partners and positions Saxony as a leading location for future-oriented quantum technologies.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for the management, strategic control and sustainable further development of the "Saxon Research Network Quantum Technologies (SAX-QT)" at the HSZG. This includes the coordination of all scientific and industrial partners, the initiation and moderation of status, strategy and decision-making formats as well as ensuring transparent project, resource and financial controlling. You will be responsible for the content orientation and quality assurance of target group-oriented communication and outreach measures (web portal, social media, press and information material) and provide guidelines for workshops, doctoral schools, training courses and ideas competitions. In addition, you will initiate and monitor market and exploitation analyses, identify and acquire new cooperation partners, represent the network externally and advise the HSZG project management on the development and submission of national and international third-party funding applications.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed scientific university degree (Master's/Diploma) in computer science, physics, economics/engineering or a comparable subject,
  • interest in quantum technologies (quantum computing, quantum sensors, quantum materials,
  • demonstrable experience in the coordination of scientific or technology-oriented collaborative / transfer projects, ideally with industry and university partners,
  • Confident handling of common digital collaboration and project management tools,
  • Competence in stakeholder and partner management, including the acquisition of new collaborations and collaboration on third-party funding and grant applications,
  • very good written and spoken German and English skills.

  • a high level of initiative and a willingness to take responsibility and make decisions,
  • convincing communication and networking skills; a confident manner towards science, business, politics and the public,
  • creativity in the development and implementation of new formats (workshops, training courses, outreach) and

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Görlitz, but there are many opportunities for mobile working. We particularly welcome applications from the Dresden area, as many network partners are located in Dresden.
