Between structural change and mood crisis

Whether future opportunities for Upper Lusatia or social moods in times of crisis: Prof. Dr. Raj Kollmorgen was once again in demand as an expert in the media.

The well-known HSZG professor for the management of social change and sociologist Prof. Dr. Raj Kollmorgen has once again been a sought-after expert in regional and national media in recent weeks. In recent articles, he has scientifically assessed both the development potential of the Upper Lusatia region and the social mood in Germany.

In an article in the magazine "Neue Lausitz" from April 28, 2026 entitled "Görlitz could be a second Jena", Prof. Kollmorgen analyzes the region's opportunities in structural change. The focus is on the scientific infrastructure, the cross-border location and the importance of universities and research institutions for innovation and attracting skilled workers. The article discusses the question of the conditions under which Görlitz and Upper Lusatia could develop into a successful science and business location in the long term.
