A sign of sustainability and cohesion

Rector Kratzsch plants a tree at the Zittau campus, which he received from the Allgemeiner Unternehmerverband Zittau und Umgebung e. V. for his investiture.

On July 7, the Rector of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Alexander Kratzsch, kept a small promise. Prof. Kratzsch personally planted the gift he received from the Allgemeiner Unternehmerverband Zittau und Umgebung e. V. for his ceremonial investiture - an American amber tree - right next to the LaNDER³ hall in Zittau.

Trees are symbolic of stability, growth and rootedness - values that also characterize our university. The amber tree reminds us every day that sustainable action begins with each individual and is practiced on our campus.

Thanks to its close proximity to the campus, all members of the university will be able to enjoy the tree and watch it grow and flourish.
