Dear teachers,  

Have you ever thought about the fact that teaching staff at schools have shared staff rooms and you as a university lecturer do not?

This results in privacy, peace and quiet for working and that you alone decide on the wall design.  On the other hand, compared to your colleagues at schools, one thing may be neglected: the exchange with other teachers. Be it content-related or methodological questions concerning teaching and research or general, personal topics. 

So there are joint meetings, hallway discussions or lunches. However, there is rarely enough time for an in-depth exchange on questions such as "How do you actually do this with ...?", which became particularly frequent with the ad hoc switch to digital teaching two years ago. If you then add working from home to the mix, it becomes increasingly difficult to find opportunities for conversations, not to mention making new contacts. And how often can you talk to your colleagues from the other location? Well: every two weeks in future.

In cooperation with the joint project D2C2 (ZWB), which is affiliated with the Vice-Rector Education and International Affairs, and the zfe, we cordially invite you to a new exchange format "Digital Teaching Exchange" to

From 14.10.2022 we will open for you every two weeks Fridays from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm the digital meeting room (link to the BBB room via deborah.halang(at)hszg.de ) for digital teaching topics. 

What are your experiences from four semesters of digital and hybrid teaching? Which methods and tools have you learned to particularly appreciate in your teaching, how do you maintain contact with your students?

Your experiences are not only of interest to us, but also to your colleagues. We would therefore be delighted if you could give a ten-minute input about your digital teaching experiences at one of our meetings before you and your colleagues engage in an exchange and discussion. The deputy head of the zfe, deputy professor Dr. Steffi^Heidig, will start on 14.10. on the topic of "Blended learning vs. hybrid teaching".
