At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Faculty of Social Sciences, a part-time position (30 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

Teacher for special tasks in Social Sciences (m/f/d)
- Reference: 36-2025 LfbA F-S-

to be filled for a limited period until 31.08.2026.

In accordance with § 78 of the Law on Universities in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG), the position includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Conducting courses in the Bachelor's degree programs of the Faculty of Social Sciences,
  • Advising students on technical and organizational issues relating to their studies,
  • advising/conducting discussions and
  • Supervision of projects and practical phases.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • University degree in a social science degree program (social work, special education/inclusion studies or comparable degree program),

  • Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social science fields of action, in particular educational science, sociology, psychology,

  • Knowledge of pedagogical fields of action, in particular social pedagogy/social work, curative education/inclusion studies.

The following are also desirable

  • Willingness to participate in tasks and activities of other degree programs and the faculty,

  • Knowledge of university didactics and experience in university teaching and adult education,

  • Knowledge of university-related structures and processes and

  • Experience in committee and public relations work.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 10 TV-L, if a scientific university degree is available, in EG 11 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Görlitz.
