"Scholarship? You don't need a 1.0 for that!"

Venue

Venue: House IV, Room 1.02, Theodor-Körner-Allee 8, 02763 Zittau

You always thought that scholarships were only for the biggest nerds - we want to dispel this cliché and many other misconceptions. To this end, we cordially invite you to an information event on the topic of scholarships on 10.11.2022 at 16:30 in House Z IV Room 1.02.

With a scholarship, you receive financial support from a foundation that supports you throughout your studies or over a certain period of time, e.g. one year. There is usually a basic amount of EUR 300, which, depending on the foundation, can even be topped up by the personal BAföG rate or additionally finance stays abroad/research stays. The main advantage of a scholarship is that you do not have to pay the money back. The foundation can be church, business, trade union, party-affiliated or state-run. Accordingly, there are also offers for non-material education, e.g. in seminars. We would like to introduce you to all the foundations in a short input presentation so that you can find one that suits you. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to talk to active scholarship holders and alumni. You can ask them how they got their scholarship, how the selection process went and get further tips for such an application.
