“Anyone could have done that” or “Actually, I can’t do anything at all”—the so-called imposter syndrome often creeps in precisely where our greatest potential lies. The paradox is this: Our most pronounced strengths often come with their own set of nasty, self-sabotaging thoughts. For example, someone who’s particularly creative quickly comes to believe that every idea must be absolutely revolutionary right away to be worth anything at all.
Especially when we’re leading a project, starting our own business, or running our own company, we quickly realize: We rarely fail because of a lack of technical skill—but rather because of our own inner critic. When this inner critic blocks us, the entire endeavor suffers.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll take a closer look at this dynamic. We’ll use a set of cards to uncover the subtle connections between your strengths and your self-doubts, dissolve them, and translate them directly into concrete resilience strategies for your everyday (business) life.
After a brief group introduction, you’ll explore your very own profile in breakout sessions:
At the end of the workshop, you’ll go home with a clear understanding of your own patterns—and with the tools to face your doubts in both your professional and personal life with composure, flexibility, and self-efficacy.
The group sessions will be recorded and will be available for 3 days afterward.
Since we’ll be working directly with your individual character strengths in this workshop, it’s a prerequisite that you already know your Signature Strengths. If not, feel free to sign up for the workshop“What’s Inside You: Your Foundation for Greater Self-Efficacy”or the SummerSchool.
