Training objective
The success of an internal audit stands and falls with the ability of an internal auditor to meet the interlocutor at eye level in order to obtain meaningful audit evidence. Communication breakdowns can easily occur during an audit, which can be triggered by misunderstandings, distractions, blockages, stress or the clash of different interests. It is particularly important for auditors to be able to master the situation competently and confidently.
In this seminar, you will train your communication skills as an internal auditor. Using real audit scenarios and role plays, you will analyze the following questions together with the trainer:
- How do you find a suitable introduction to the audit discussion?
- What disruptions can occur in audit communication?
- What are the causes and what are the possible consequences?
- How can or must you react as an auditor?
The role-plays will give you an impression in an impartial environment of how you personally behave when you are confronted with an unfamiliar audit situation and give you tips on how to deal with it.
