Color—An Interdisciplinary Perspective
- History, Diversity, and Applications of Dyes,
- Introduction to Witt’s chromophore model, focusing on: the relationship between light absorption and color, the chromophore group as a conjugated π-electron system, and the influence of auxo- and antiauxochromic groups,
- Introduction to the mesomerism model and application of relevant knowledge about the model to dye classes based on given structural formulas
Our emeritus lecturer, Prof. Dr. Dieter Greif, taught at the HSZG in the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences.
