The future holder of the position must represent the field of applied computer science in research and teaching. In particular, the professorship should meet future requirements in this field and integrate experience and developments in interdisciplinary research and the practical application of computer science.

In addition to IT-related qualifications, this requires relevant experience in interdisciplinary research or practical applications such as cloud computing, operational information systems or modern data-driven applications.

The teaching obligation must be implemented in lectures, seminars, exercises, internships and projects as well as in continuing education in a professional and didactically high-quality manner and developed both independently and in close cooperation with the faculties. In doing so, the educational content must also be in accordance with the values and standards of the HSZG for responsible action towards fellow human beings, society and the environment.

Appointment requirements

• A completed academic university degree in a subject area within the field of appointment,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training,
• special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate, and
• special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of generally five years, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector.

Teaching must be ensured in the area of appointment in computer science degree programs, in degree programs with a focus on economics and beyond across the university. Special pedagogical and university didactic aptitude with regard to teaching students who are not studying computer science is therefore of particular interest. If necessary, classes / courses related to the area of appointment should be taken on. The practical relevance of teaching activities must be ensured on an ongoing basis.
