Employee IT Systems Engineering (m/f/d) - Keyword MA-IT-

The University Data Centre (HRZ), as the central institution of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) and service provider for the provision of IT communication infrastructure and central services, is seeking to fill the following position (1.0 FTE) at the earliest possible date

IT systems technology employee (m/f/d) -Keyword MA-IT-

to be filled on a permanent basis.

The activities of the job holder (m/f/d) include the following tasks in particular:

  • Installation, commissioning and technical support of hardware and software for networked PC systems as well as central IT systems (servers, storage, backup systems) and configuration of these systems,
  • Error analysis and elimination on PC systems and peripherals and central IT systems,
  • Carrying out or organizing (external) repairs of all kinds in the IT area,
  • Supporting other structural units in the technical support of IT-related systems, e.g. access systems, building management and media technology,
  • Processing and realization of applications for the disposal of IT systems,
  • Programming and modification of databases, interface programming.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed training as an IT specialist/system integration, IT system electronics technician or comparable knowledge and experience,
  • application-ready knowledge and/or experience
    • in the planning, installation and configuration of IT systems and devices according to user requirements,
    • in the technical support, error analysis and troubleshooting of IT systems
    • operating systems, application software and diagnostic tools
    • in database programming / interface programming
  • Knowledge of network technologies server / PC networks and their administration
  • Experience in servicing, advising and supporting users,
  • a working knowledge of the English language.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid in pay group 9a TV-L.
