As part of the week-long "Tour of Good Aging," the GAT participated in the Heinersdorf leg on Friday, September 19. The bike tour was organized by project partners from the Heinersdorf Practice Research Center as part of the Alterperimentale project.
After a shared breakfast near the Kaiserhof in Fürstenwalde, the group set off at 10:00 AM for the final leg of their journey. With radiant late-summer weather, the route led to Heinersdorf, where a joint lunch not only provided a chance to recharge but also invited creative reflection on the impressions gathered during the tour.
The afternoon was dedicated to dialogue: from 3:00 PM onwards, the participants engaged in discussions with regional senior policy stakeholders. The conversation focused on political frameworks and design possibilities that could promote successful aging in rural areas. The exchange clearly demonstrated how academic perspectives and local experiences can come together to develop sustainable solutions.
The leg to Heinersdorf combined movement, reflection, and political discourse in an inspiring way – a successful contribution to a week focused on successful aging.
