On September 23, 2025 Prof. Raj Kollmorgen gave a presentation on the topic of East Germans in the elites at an event series held at the Bundespresseamt in Berlin and discussed with the participants of the event the findings on and reasons for underrepresentation, as well as possible policy measures to reduce the existing underrepresentation, in the presence of Stefan Kornelius, government spokesperson and head of the Federal Government Press and Information Office. Prof. Kollmorgen also discussed the findings of the Elitenmonitor, wich is a federally funded research project that has been carried out by Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the University of Leipzig and the Friedrich-Schiller University Jena since 2022.
