The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is seeking to fill a W2 professorship in the Faculty of Social Sciences as of 01.09.2026 in the field of
Inclusion and Participation

The position includes the representation of the above-mentioned professorship in teaching and research, in particular with the following focal points:
The teaching commitment is to be implemented in lectures, seminars, exercises, internships and projects as well as in continuing education. The ability and willingness to participate in integrative, practice-oriented and internship-related teaching units is required. Class / courses must also be held in English. It is expected that classes / courses related to the field of appointment will be taken on.
In addition to teaching duties, independent research and development tasks in the field of appointment must be carried out. A corresponding level of commitment is required. The candidate must be actively involved in the International Affairs of the university and the further development of the subject area. Tasks in academic self-administration are to be assumed. In addition, commitment to projects in the field of knowledge and technology transfer is expected.
Appointment requirements
The prerequisites for appointment are a completed academic university degree, preferably with knowledge and experience in the professional fields of special education and/or inclusive education.
Furthermore, a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training, a special aptitude for academic work, which is usually proven by the quality of a doctorate, as well as special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of usually five years, of which at least three years must have been practiced outside the university sector, are required for the exercise of the professorship.
Reference is made to the Saxon Higher Education Act of May 31, 2023 (SächsGVBl. 2023 No. 12, p. 329), which was last amended by Article 2 of the Act of January 31, 2024 (SächsGVBl. p. 83).
